MotoSPEC 2021 IMPROVEMENTS

Updates made to MotoSPEC during 2021 include force-based Dynamic Presets, improved Fork specifications, and Multi-Rate rear springs.


​v5.10.0 Released Feb 25th:
  • Dynamic Presets can be specified as wheel force values.

  • Dynamic Preset drop-down in each column provides the option to reference the pot readings or wheel forces in another column.

  • Data Equations channel names can appended with a single character.
  • Data Equations names modified for AiM Race Studio and MoTeC i2 Pro.

v5.10.1 Released April 21st:
  • Fork Specifications can be specified with the following cartridge types:
    • Open
    • Gas Pressurized
    • Spring Pressurized
    • Spring & Gas Pressurized
    • Thru Rod
  • ​Each option captures the unique air spring and reservoir pressurization effects for that cartridge configuration, including compression of the gas pressurizing volume.

v5.10.2 Released August 10th:
  • MotoSPEC interface updated with improved graphics and readability
  • Multi-Rate Rear Spring specification

  • The Rear Ride Height Reference selection is now within the CHASSIS specification, allowing each column to refer to a different ride height reference
  • ‘MEASURED’ Rear Ride Height Gauge, allowing the gauge to be specified with a digital inclinometer and ruler.
  • Fork setting added for cartridges with rods that pass thru the reservoir piston (Ohlins FKR and RVP)
  • The PRINT function modified to create a more accurate representation of the MotoSPEC interface.
  • Front Spring Rates and Steering Head Angle (rake) adjustment specified to two decimal places
  • Steering Head adjustments (upper and lower offsets, or offset and angle) can be exported to a single row in the SETUP SHEET function

v5.10.3 Released October 6th:
  • 'Apply' button added to Gearing Table

  • Highlight reference can now be column 1, 2 or 3
  • Highlight now applied to all component drop-down selections, eg. Fork, Shock, Tires, etc.​

v5.10.4 Released November 5th:
  • Fork asymmetrical reservoir option added
    • ​Left and right fork cartridges can be specified independently

v5.10.5 Released December 10th:
  • Nominal Shock Length added to Linkage specification​
    • If specified, the Nominal Shock Length is applied when that Linkage is selected.
